He Beppe Tufarulo is an Italian film director, based in Milan.
He is a visual storytelling director telling stories with a highly aesthetic eye and human approach. He has big time documentary style expertise.
He started his filmmaking career at MTV where he directed a variety of different projects including TV shows, music videos and documentaries in various countries around the world.
He also has extensive experience shooting commercials and branded content for many international brands such as Armani, Barilla, Diesel, Timberland, Intimissimi, Becks, Red Bull. In addition to his advertising work, he has directed the documentary I Figli della Shoah for Rai Cinema, several music documentaries for Sky Arte HD and the documentary Armani Privé – a view beyond, about one of the greatest Italian fashion artists.
He recently directed the short film Baradar (Brother), that has been selected and won awards in numerous international film festivals and has been nominated for a David di Donatello 2020. It’s a touching story of brotherly love, hope and resilience.
His preferred approach is a mixture of narrative style and cinematic power and he seeks a balance between aesthetic harmony and realism in storytelling.
He is now a multitasking director working with commercials, documentaries and fictions.
He has recently shot the documentary for Amazon Prime Video on Tiziano Ferro, an Italian singer-songwriter. He is currently developing his first feature film and working on a new series for Prime Video, as a series director.
